Balboa Biosciences Inc. is a dynamic clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of disorders affecting the central nervous system (the “CNS”) and the treatment of acute and chronic pain. We seek to address unmet medical needs in these areas with product candidates that have established therapeutic potential. To achieve this goal, we focus on in-licensing product candidates or technologies that already have been tested for safety and biological activity in humans. We do not conduct drug discovery research and plan to limit our involvement with preclinical research activity by concentrating on later stage drug development projects. By focusing on the improvement of identified candidates and later stage development, our business model allows us to maximize value while minimizing some of the potential risks associated with drug development activities.

We will continue to acquire the exclusive rights to develop and market potential CNS therapeutic agents, and we will continue to seek out additional products or technologies that we believe fit into our development model.
